From Prompt Engineering to RAG: Navigating the Gen AI Landscape for Business Success

The talk will be on what organizations need to do to maximize the benefits from Gen AI applications, specifically around Large Language Models. The talk will start with a brief description of how Gen AI has evolved – from AI to Gen AI. The different Foundation Models will be discussed with emphasis on how each Foundational model has been pre-trained. Typical business scenarios where Gen AI can be deployed will be discussed, drawing from real life examples. The speaker will then take the audience through the different mechanisms that can be used to get the most out of an LLM (Large Language Model) deployment – from Prompt engineering to instruction fine tuning to RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) Architecture. The talk will conclude with a few frameworks that an organization can make use of to make sure that LLMs do not ‘misbehave’.
